The document attached gives a general overview of procurement models and general analysis, made in the framework of DiSSCo Infrastructure
The Distributed System of Scientific Collections Research Infrastructure (DiSSCo-RI) is working in strategic partnerships with industrial stakeholders, and a procurement framework. This document (DiSSCo Prepare Milestone 8.4) highlights best practices in procurement, and where possible it considers how procurement frameworks have been implemented in other relevant European Research Infrastructures (RIs).
ARCHIVER project is cited in the Pre-Commercial Procurement paragraph, as one of the two projects (with Open Clouds for Research Environments - OCRE) that successufully led the PCP.
PCP has been used successfully in several European projects, and the European Commission has published a brochure providing an overview of successful ICT domain funded PCPs. This includes the Helix Nebula Science Cloud (HNSciCloud) PCP, which developed a hybrid cloud platform for ten European research centres and will support the connection of RIs through the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
This PCP has led to the Open Clouds for Research Environments (OCRE) project, and the Archiving and Preservation for Research Environments (ARCHIVER) PCP project (European Commission, 2021).
