Sarah Jones

Sarah is the new EOSC Engagement Manager at GÉANT, where she is devising a data strategy to supporting European NRENs to engage in Open Science initiatives. In her capacity as independent expert on the EOSC Executive Board, she acted as Chair of the EOSC FAIR Working Group, overseeing the PID policy, EOSC Interoperability Framework, FAIR metrics and certification recommendations. She brought insights from the European Commission’s FAIR Data Expert Group to this role, taking forward recommendations from the Turning FAIR into Reality report. She has an information management background and experience of working in data centres and on digital preservation projects.
